Almost 3 years after we shot the best man Joe’s wedding, we were able to see many of the same guests at the wedding for Adam and Lauren and Berowski in Amherst, New York. We started at the Salvatore’s Grand Hotel where the girls were getting ready. After reading a letter from Adam and having a little fun jumping on the bed with her bridesmaids we left for the church to see the guys.
The ceremony took place at Christ the King Church in Amherst. We usually like to shoot wedding ceremonies with just the ambient light in the church, but this church is exceptionally dark so we had to use a little fill flash.
Following the ceremony we headed to Glen Falls Park in Williamsville. One of Adam and Lauren’s friends brought their dog for a few pictures. We had to hurry though because there are “no pet’s allowed” signs all over the park and we didn’t want to get in trouble!
A funny moment occurred when Adam and his best man Joe tried blowing up some Mr and Mrs balloons that Lauren bought. It turns out you need a high pressure helium tank to push air in to these balloons. Though they tried very hard to make Lauren happy they ran out of air and we had to pass on the balloon shot. It’s too bad because they looked like pretty cool balloons!
After pictures at Glen Falls we headed off to the reception at the Lancaster Country Club. That is where I met the groom’s grandma Mildred. She has a great since of humor and kept joking about me not posting her picture all over the interweb. I’m still trying to figure out if she’s a famous star from the past that I’m unaware of! Due to her request I’ll keep her picture of my blog, however if someone from People Magazine approaches me I may sell her photo to them if the price is right!! lol.
One of the big hit’s of the reception was their cigar bar. It was beautiful night outside and guests took advantage with a nice cigar.
The wedding night ended with a glow stick send off! Congrats Adam and Lauren!
